The mission of Lehigh's Center for Career & Professional Development is to provide career education and connections to support student success.  Be career ready: our coaches support you through all phases of your career journey.  Our career coaching team is aligned with the colleges to deliver customized career education and connections.  We use a blended learning approach that helps students take charge of their career development.

Coaching appointments

Much of the information you need to begin your career journey can be found by logging into your Handshake account.  Click on career center followed by resources.  The resources section has content to support each step of your career journey so that you have access to it 24/7.  

CCPD provides, by request, group sessions on Mondays or Thursdays from 4:30 - 5:30.  These sessions will include how to best utilize CCPD and a Career Lab for your group with a basic overview of your chosen topic. Topics include: Resumes, cover letters, job/internship search, interviewing, Lehigh Connects, networking, elevator pitch

Drop in during lab hosted Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.  Your questions regarding resumes, cover letters, internships/job search, the basics of interviewing, networking, Handshake, LinkedIn and Lehigh Connects can all be addressed in the lab.  

Individual coaching appointments are designed for in depth career meetings related to exploration and planning (30 minutes).  Career meeting types:

  3. Mock interview

Appointments can be scheduled through your Handshake account Please note: when scheduling, there is pre-work expected prior to the appointment.

First year students:

Getting started with the center is easy! First-year students and others who have not been to CCPD are encouraged to visit during our career lab (Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm)  as well as attend our career skill sessions. If your questions require more time than can be answered during career lab, you will be referred to a coach for  a one-on-one coaching appointment.
