Promoting Skill Development

Career Portfolios

CCPD has created career portfolios which are each uniquely designed to support our undergraduate, graduate and recent alumni (within two years of graduation) populations in their career planning. Each of our career portfolios help individuals to identify career action steps, connect to career resources/support, and track progress towards reaching their career goals. Undergraduates can access the Undergraduate Career Portfolio at go.lehigh.edu/careerportfolio and graduate students can access the Graduate Career Portfolio at go.lehigh.edu/gradcareerportfolio to make their own copy to advance their career path. The Alumni Career Portfolio can be accessed through Lehigh Connects under the resources tab.

Career Management Seminar

The Career Management Seminar is designed to teach graduate students key career management skills needed to effectively conduct an internship or job search.. Graduate students are enrolled in the Seminar at the request of faculty as a course project or department initiative during the Fall or Spring semesters. This self-paced program is completed in Course Site, and the completion time is estimated to be between 5 1⁄2 to 7 1⁄2 hours.  Learning modules with assigned activities focus on key topics including exploring career options, building your professional network, preparing for an internship or job search, interviewing for success, and evaluating/negotiating a job offer.
