Alumni Volunteers

Alumni volunteers are a valuable component to the work we do in the Career Center.  The following are ways you can share your expertise to support student success.

Recruiting students

Job postings. Is your company looking to hire a new graduate or intern? Post your position online through Handshake.

On campus/Virtual recruiting. CCPD hosts 100 - 150 employers each year to recruit students. On-campus/virtual interviews are held throughout the year during the Fall and Spring Semesters.  Through our online recruiting system, Handshake, we promote your career opportunities, manage resume collection, coordinate interview schedules, and enable application review and candidate selection.

Career Expos. Represent your employer at the annual Career Expos held on campus in September and February. Join top companies to market your summer internship or full-time opportunities to Lehigh’s talented students.

Professional Networking and Mentorship. Lehigh Connects is an interactive virtual space for professional networking and mentorship.  Sign up to serve as a mentor on Lehigh Connects! Lehigh Connects provides an easy way to connect with alumni and students. Using the online platform and the communication tools is simple! Mentorship is a great way to provide advice to students as they explore career options, learn about industries and specific job functions and much more.  As a Lehigh Connects Mentor, you will be kept informed when there are career events to support student career development such as career meetups, shadowing, and professional development workshops.

Contact Jashanae Day Brinker, jadd22@lehigh.edu,, with questions regarding mentoring.

Alumni-Sourced Projects. Alumni can post 2 week to 2 month projects into an integrated marketplace for students to discover and complete.  Students are guided by built-in step-by-step instructions to successfully complete the projects and are supported by your industry-trained mentors and staff. Advanced-level Job Postings.  If you’d like to bring advanced level Lehigh talent into your organization, you can promote opportunities through the Lehigh Connects job board. To share an advanced level job posting with fellow alumni, log into Lehigh Connects, click on Projects/Job Board followed by Share an Opportunity.  You can choose from two options -  1. refer - you know about an opportunity and are happy to talk about and be a resource  or 2. Hire - you are hiring for a role or are authorized to post on behalf of the organization that is hiring.
