The Power of the Lehigh Network

A Lehigh education is defined by academic excellence and the strength of a lifelong community committed to student success. For a student navigating today’s rapidly evolving job market, an alum’s guidance is the ultimate competitive advantage.

When you volunteer with the Center for Career & Professional Development (CCPD), you provide the clarity, confidence, and connections that transform a student’s career trajectory. Whether you are opening doors through recruitment, providing hands-on experience through projects, or offering the wisdom of your real-world journey, your involvement ensures that the next generation of graduates are ready to lead.

Explore the ways you can directly support the success of our students.

Alumni Volunteers

Alumni volunteers are a cornerstone of student success at Lehigh. By sharing your expertise and professional network, you help students transition from academic life to meaningful careers. Here is how you can get involved:

Recruiting the Next Generation of Talent

Help Lehigh students launch their careers while bringing high-caliber talent into your organization.

  • Post Internship and Full-time Opportunities: Use Handshake to share entry-level roles and internships directly with current students and recent graduates.
  • On-Campus & Virtual Recruiting: We facilitate resume collection, interview scheduling, and candidate selection through Handshake.
  • Career Expos: Represent your company at our signature Expos in September and February to meet Lehigh’s top talent.

Mentor Students via Lehigh Connects

Lehigh Connects is our exclusive virtual community designed for professional networking and mentorship.

  • Professional Mentorship: Sign up to guide students as they explore career paths, learn about specific industries, and develop professional skills.
  • Alumni-Sourced Projects: Provide students with high-impact, short-term experience. Post projects (2 weeks to 2 months) to Lehigh Connects where students can build their skills under your guidance.

Share Your Industry Insights

Help students understand your field through virtual and on-campus events.

  • Alumni Panel Webinar Series: Serve as an Alumni Panelists for a virtual deep-dive into the latest trends and recruiting insights within your field.
  • Employer Spotlight: The Employer Spotlight Series, hosted by The Center for Career and Professional Development, helps employers strengthen their brand on campus while supporting students' career development. This initiative fosters meaningful connections between students and employers in a casual, interactive setting.
